- A bottom right photo on a page in the Fall 1997 North Texan magazine shows four members of Army Specialized Training Unit 3890, which trained at UNT and Camp Howze during World War II. The veterans were back on campus June 30, 1977 to honor 10 of their fellow soldiers who were killed in action during WWII.
